Who's the MAN?
Progolf29, looks like it's just you and me! :?

orcuttkickboxer- 01-25-2007

I've been waiting for a reply to my emails and posts for a while now. You may be waiting quite a while my friend. If I'm reading this right, you play a Taylor Made GW and a 588 53*. I can't imagine much difference between the Taylor gap wedge and the cleveland. What's the loft on that Taylor gap wedge? I'm playing: Mac Gregor V-Foil forged MB blades 3-PW Cleveland RTG 900 52* low bounce Cleveland RTG 900 60* low bounce Tour Edge Carbon 460 9.5* with Graffaloy Blue X flex Tour Edge low profile hyper steel 13* Odyssey center shaft white hot 34"

It's 49* I also have a 56* Cleveland 588 that I carry sometimes. Just at this time its in the corner. Thanks for the reply nice to know there's actually someone out there. There's another place I chat golf at that has a lot more conversation than this! If your interested. So, what do YOU think about the square faze thats coming?

orcuttkickboxer- 01-26-2007

I would definately be interested in chatting at that place that has a lot more conversation. What site is it? I don't know what to make of these new square drivers yet. I guess once I hit them I'll have a better idea. As of right now they strike me as a little goofy looking. They seem to want most of the driver size now way behind the face for the increased M.O.I. Personally I like how my Carbon 460 is porportioned so it doesn't look way oversized. I was at my local proshop today and stood over the top of the new Cleveland HiBore. Unless that thing produced miracles off the tee I wouldn't even consider it. It just doesn't appeal to me at all. It's one thing to see these drivers in advertisements, but when you stand over one at address, you really get a good idea of how goofy these clubs look. Personally I'm a huge fan of the pear shaped drivers around 350cc - 420cc. Basicly the Titleist 983 and 905 series drivers.

That site is Activegolf.com The Hi-bore didn't go over very well at all. Last years model anyway. Have you seen what they're going for on ebay? I think they've got a trade value of about 80 bucks. I had a 983k for a little while just didn't like it. I've got a Taylor Made R5 with a ustProforce 65 stiff in it that I trimmed to 44" but I don't get the same distance as the I do w/ the Adams. I guess the shorter shaft loses a little.

orcuttkickboxer- 01-26-2007

It's funny you mention the Adams. I had a hard time finding a driver that could hit as far as the RPM I swung a couple years ago. The biggest drive I ever hit before last weekend was with the Adams. It went a solid 367 straight down the pipe. And that was with the factory Stiff flex shaft. I don't know why I haven't baught an Adams yet. They make excellent gear. That'll probably be on my "to-do" list for next month.

Did you check that other site yet?

orcuttkickboxer- 01-26-2007

going to right now. I'll register with the same screen name.

LSblack14- 01-27-2007

I'm under Lblack14. The S was a mistake. Oh well. Those on that sight seem to be alot more sociable most of the time. And generally if you ask a question, someone is willing to help out.
